Ofero EV decisions

Pakistan’s electric two-wheeler market has welcomed another new name. Ofero has officially entered the country with three electric scooters — Thunder, Hero, and Magical — giving buyers different options depending on their budget, performance needs, and daily commuting requirements.

The arrival of another electric scooter brand shows how quickly Pakistan’s EV market is developing. Buyers today are looking beyond just the price. Battery technology, real-world range, warranty, after-sales support, spare parts, and long-term reliability are becoming increasingly important factors when choosing an electric vehicle.

According to Ofero Pakistan, the company already operates in several international markets and has more than 150,000 users globally. Its Pakistani lineup uses lithium LFP batteries, while the Thunder sits at the top of the range as the performance-focused model.

Ofero Thunder — The Flagship Electric Scooter

The Ofero Thunder is the most powerful scooter in the new lineup. It uses a 1,500W rated motor with a peak output of 2,000W and is paired with a 76.8V 25Ah LFP battery.

Ofero claims a top speed of 65 km/h and a range of 65–90 km per charge.

Specification Ofero Thunder
Motor 1,500W rated, 2,000W peak
Battery 76.8V 25Ah LFP
Claimed Range 65–90 km
Top Speed 65 km/h
Peak Torque 108 Nm
Maximum Load 200 kg

The Thunder also gets front and rear disc brakes, hydraulic suspension, LED lighting and an IPX7+ waterproof rating with dual protection.

For Pakistani riders, features such as water resistance and hydraulic suspension could be particularly useful for everyday riding, especially during the monsoon season. However, actual performance in local conditions will need to be judged after the scooters have been on Pakistani roads for some time.

Ofero Hero — The Mid-Range Choice

The Ofero Hero sits between the Thunder and Magical in the lineup. It uses a 1,000W rated motor with a peak output of 1,500W and a 64V 25Ah LFP battery.

Ofero claims a top speed of 55 km/h and a range of 65–90 km per charge.

Specification Ofero Hero
Motor 1,000W rated, 1,500W peak
Battery 64V 25Ah LFP
Claimed Range 65–90 km
Top Speed 55 km/h
Peak Torque 74 Nm
Maximum Load 200 kg

The Hero also comes with NFC-based access, an anti-theft system, hydraulic suspension and an IPX7-rated waterproof battery.

Ofero Magical — Designed for Everyday City Commuting

The Ofero Magical is the smallest and lightest-oriented option in the lineup, with an 800W rated motor and 1,200W peak output.

Interestingly, the Magical claims a longer range than the other two scooters. Its 48V 32Ah battery is claimed to deliver between 80 and 100 km per charge.

Specification Ofero Magical
Motor 800W rated, 1,200W peak
Battery 48V 32Ah LFP
Claimed Range 80–100 km
Top Speed 53 km/h
Peak Torque 66 Nm
Maximum Load 200 kg

The Magical gets features including NFC unlocking, USB charging, hydraulic suspension and tubeless tyres. Its styling also gives it a more youthful and urban character, making it particularly suited to everyday city commuting.

Ofero Electric Scooter Prices in Pakistan

Ofero has positioned its three scooters across different price points:

This gives the brand a relatively straightforward three-model strategy. The Hero is the entry-level option, the Magical focuses more heavily on range and city commuting, while the Thunder is aimed at riders looking for higher performance.

What Makes Ofero Different?

One of the key talking points across the lineup is the use of LFP battery technology.

LFP batteries are widely valued for their durability and thermal stability compared with some other lithium battery chemistries. For Pakistani EV buyers, battery longevity and performance in hot weather are particularly important considerations.

However, battery technology alone will not determine whether a new EV brand succeeds in Pakistan.

The Real Test Will Be After-Sales Support

Pakistan’s electric two-wheeler market is becoming increasingly competitive. As more brands enter the market, buyers have more choices — but that also means they need to look beyond the specifications printed in a brochure.

For a new brand like Ofero, some of the most important questions will be answered over time:

These factors can ultimately matter just as much as motor power, top speed or battery capacity.

Our Take

Ofero’s entry adds another interesting option to Pakistan’s growing electric scooter market. With three models covering different price and performance levels, the company is clearly trying to appeal to a broad range of urban riders.

The use of LFP batteries across the lineup is also worth watching, particularly for buyers who are concerned about battery longevity and reliability.

But the bigger story will be how Ofero performs after the initial launch. A competitive price and impressive specifications can attract buyers, but reliable after-sales service, spare parts availability and long-term battery performance will determine whether the brand can build lasting trust in Pakistan.

Would You Buy an Ofero Electric Scooter?

With prices starting from Rs. 229,999, Ofero is entering a segment where affordability is extremely important.
