2. What Information We Collect

A. What you give us

When you register, contact us, post a listing, become a vendor, or use other features, we may collect:

• Login details, handled by the website's sign-in system.
• Profile details and shop or business information.
• Vehicle details: make, model, year, price, mileage, condition, battery information, and photos.
• Listing descriptions, location, and anything else you choose to publish.
• Messages, questions, feedback, reviews, and support requests.
• Order, delivery, billing, and payment details when you shop in our store.
• Vendor verification or payout details, where we need them to run the marketplace.

Please share only what's needed for the service you're using, and keep sensitive personal details out of public listings and messages.

B. What we collect automatically

Our hosting provider, website software, security tools, and analytics services can collect:

• Your IP address and the rough location it suggests.
• Your browser, device type, and operating system.
• Pages you visit, links you click, and the site that sent you to us.
• Visit dates, times, and general usage.

5. Accounts and Vendor Information

If you create an account or register as a vendor, we use the information you give us to run your account and provide the features you've signed up for.

For vendors, that can include your shop name, contact details, product or vehicle listings, order information, and other business details from registration or the vendor dashboard.

If we need extra documents to verify a vendor or send payouts, you should send them only through the process we tell you to use. Never send us passwords, PINs, one-time codes (OTPs), or card security codes.

We may use account information to manage access, give support, look into reported misuse, enforce our platform rules, and administer vendor accounts.

Your public profile and shop details stay visible while your account or listing is active. Some details may also be kept afterwards for records or legal reasons.

6. Used-EV Marketplace and Public Listings

You can post ads for new or used electric vehicles and related products on EVDecisions.

Your listings are public. Depending on the listing, anyone can see:

• Your name or business name and public profile details.
• Vehicle photos and descriptions.
• Price, model, year, condition, and specifications.
• General location or other details you enter.
• Contact details you choose, or are required, to show.

Other people can view, copy, save, or share what you post. Deleting your ad won't erase copies that others, or other websites, have already made. So please check your listing carefully before you publish, and keep your home address, CNIC number, bank details, and passwords out of it.

If you're a seller, make sure you have the right to share any photos, documents, or personal details you upload.

If you're a buyer, you can contact sellers and arrange inspections through the available channels. Anything you share directly with another user is handled by that person, outside EVDecisions.

7. Staying Safe When Buying or Selling a Used EV

Buying or selling a vehicle online takes some care. These tips can help:

• Check the seller's identity and the vehicle's ownership documents before you buy.
• Inspect the car, and consider an independent battery and mechanical check.
• Confirm registration, transfer steps, and any outstanding dues with the relevant authorities.
• Agree on the price, condition, payment method, and transfer in writing.
• Don't send deposits or advance payments to people you haven't verified.
• Make sure the money has actually reached your own bank account before handing over a vehicle. Screenshots, SMS messages, and receipts from the other person aren't proof.
• Never share your banking password, PIN, OTP, or card security code with a buyer, a seller, or anyone claiming to be from EVDecisions.
• Report suspicious listings, impersonation, or suspected fraud to us.

These tips are general advice and can't guarantee a safe deal.

Please note: we don't check every seller, ownership document, vehicle specification, battery condition, or ad. Unless we clearly say a listing has been verified, don't assume it has been. Private sales happen directly between buyer and seller. EVDecisions is not an escrow service and doesn't hold money for private sales. Store purchases follow the terms of the store and its payment provider.

8. Our Online Store, Orders, and Payments

When you shop in our store, we handle the information needed to manage your order, including:

• Your account and contact details.
• Products ordered, order history, and order status.
• Billing and delivery information.
• Payment status and transaction references.
• Support messages and order-related communication.

Payments may be handled by third-party payment providers. Depending on how you pay, the provider may collect your payment details directly and handle them under its own privacy policy. We don't store your full card details unless we clearly tell you otherwise, so please read your payment provider's privacy information too.

If a vendor fulfils your order, we may share the order details they need to complete the sale, arrange delivery, and give you support.

9. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions and, where turned on, for analytics, preferences, security, and ads. They help us:

Charging-station information may not always be accurate or current. Before you travel, please confirm the station's location, whether it's working, whether it suits your car, how to access it, and what it charges.

11. Ads and Google AdSense

We may show ads through Google AdSense or other ad providers when these are turned on.

Ad providers can use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, or similar technology to deliver ads, measure how they perform, prevent fraud, and, where allowed, personalise ads. What they collect and the options you get depend on the provider, where you are, your consent choices, and our website settings.

12. Analytics

We may use analytics and performance tools to understand how people use the website, find technical problems, and improve our content and services. Depending on the tools, they may record the pages you visit, your session activity, device details, approximate location, and where you came from.

We use this only to improve and report on the website. What exactly is collected, and for how long, depends on the tools installed and how they're set up.

• Business changes: if EVDecisions is reorganised, transferred, or acquired, your information may move with it, subject to applicable rules.
• With your permission: when you ask us to share it or give us your consent.

We try to share only what's relevant to the purpose.

14. Links to Other Websites

Our website links to other websites, such as manufacturers, vendors, payment providers, and social media. We don't necessarily run those sites, and we aren't responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices.

Before you enter personal details or pay on another website, read its policies and make sure you're on the site you meant to visit.

15. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as we reasonably need it for the reason we collected it, such as running your account, managing listings, giving support, keeping transaction records, security, resolving disputes, and meeting legal duties. Different types of information are kept for different lengths of time.

When we no longer need information, we may delete it, anonymise it, or securely dispose of it, unless we have to keep it for legal or record-keeping reasons.

If you delete your account or a listing, some information may stay for a while in backups, security logs, or transaction records, or in copies held by third parties, where keeping it is necessary or legally allowed.

16. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, misuse, change, disclosure, or loss. Depending on our systems, this can include access controls, website security measures, software updates, secure connections, backups, and limits on who can access admin tools.

No website or online system is completely secure, though, and we can't promise that unauthorised access or data loss will never happen.

You can help by using a strong, unique password, locking your device, signing out on shared devices, and never sharing your login details or verification codes.

EVDecisions is for a general audience interested in electric vehicles. It isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect children's personal information.
